I recently updated my website with a new Wordpress theme. Looks a lot better, if you click the link above you can read the write-up of it.

Sorting a mySQL query using PHP and a form

Working on a web project that involves creating to-do lists, so created a tutorial on how to change the sorting of a mySQL table with PHP! View the post here!

I’ve recently been playing around with some of slightly more technical aspects of CSS3, specifically with webkit-transitions, and made some very basic social networking icons that are altered in appearance when a user hovers over them. Check out a thorough write up of how I did this on my website.

Today, I decided I want to use media queries more in the things I create, so to try and get my head round working with media queries I made this. There are three separate styles depending on screen size! See a write up of it here.

CSS Scrabble Tiles

I did this quite a while ago now but still feel like I should whack it up on here too. These tiles were made completely with CSS and you can find out how I made it here. Or alternatively view a JSFiddle of it here.

HTML, jQuery, CSS - Skyrim Menu

Playing around with HTML, CSS and jQuery this afternoon and made the inventory screen in Skyrim!

Skyrim Menu System

I think the menus in Skyrim look excellent and are really intuitive and I felt that they are easily replicable in HTML so I set out doing it. While it doesn’t look 100% spot on I think that I’ve done enough prove that the concept works in a web setting.

Current Desktop Background

This is my current desktop background:

I have a dual-screen setup, my main screen being 1920x1080 and my second screen being 1280x1024.

I made the background in Photoshop with a red to dark red gradient that starts at the point where both my screens touch and explodes outwards. I then made an arrow with a basic shape that was really small, I then transformed it and made it large to have the pixel block effect. With the head of the arrow being on my main screen and the line being on the second screen as if to draw attention to where I should be focusing.
